tel has its own dedicated team of over 150 engineers covering the whole of the UK. This network ensures that you receive prompt, professional support wherever you are. With extensive experience of providing service support for schools, our engineers are aware of the particular service requirements of working in this environment.


Working within schools can raise issues of security. As a result, all of our engineers and support staff are CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked. In addition, all work carried out by our engineers conforms to ISO 9001:2000 standards.


By utilising a remote diagnostic access facility into the clients’ telephone system, tel’s engineers are able to pinpoint and diagnose issues before they arrive on site. This allows them to provide a speedy solution once on site and, wherever possible, ensures that any relevant replacement parts are already with them.

Service only support

As part of its flexible service, maintenance support can be provided by tel for telephone systems that it did not originally install. tel can provide this support for most analogue and digital telephone systems installed in the UK, not just systems from its key suppliers.

Training support

As part of every tel system installation, full training is given on setting up and maximising its functionality.

In addition, all of tel’s service contracts provide FREE online training support. This includes easy-to-follow video tutorials covering common set-up queries, such as setting the date and time on new handsets.
